Writer Hacks (Crazy Things I Do)
The blank page aka the white nightmare. On parchment, the lines mock my lax beginnings. On the screen, the cursor blinks explicit expostulations. Like most writers, my brain is near bursting with ideas, worlds, people, and situations. Mine struggle to exit my person and live their own lives. Keeping these imaginary friends at bay tends to feed, only, my insomnia. However, when faced with time and the energy to create, these pals grow fickle and flee into the recesses of my brain. Writer Update
Nano, nano, nano. WHOA!!! What a rush! It’s ten days until the finish line and I’ve crossed it. Made it and bought the t-shirt. My memory was sparked during one of my BookTubing laundry folding binges. Basically, you join a community of writers for support and accountability. Then you write 50,000+ new words during the month of November. This is November 2nd. I was reacquainted with NaNoWriMo on October…

Mug of the Month #3
This month has not slowed down, one itsy bit. School became “official” in September. Birthday parties and homeschool meetings abounded. My family also belongs to a nearby Classical Conversations campus. My son started in August but my daughter started up in September. And of course, not to be outdone, I couldn’t just be a mom I signed on as a tutor. So, is it any wonder that my mug of the month is a basically a portable carafe. It keeps my coffee toasty and ready for hours and hours. This makes me exceedingly happy because rarely do I get to sit and actually finish an entire delicious cup, while…
