  • Because I gotta Have Faith- My Testimony

*** Warning:  this post may have triggers for some – please be kind to yourself.  I’ve tried to gloss over some of the most hurtful triggers (not for my embarrassment but your wellbeing). PLUS,  this post is less edited than others on purpose.  I didn’t want to lose any of the emotion behind it. *** Grab yourself a warm cup of coffee and snuggle in.  This is just you and me chatting. I was raised in a Christian home.  Isn’t that how all these vanilla testimonies begin? Does that mean I’m a cliche?  Well, so be it. I was raised in a Christian home by imperfect but loving parents.  They held…

For you- that equals genuine encouragement and someone else to walk beside you in the homeschool – writer mom journey. Me! 🙂 And I’m there cheering you on! Here are a few of the playlists I have awaiting you. Verse of the Week Are exactly as they sound… raw, unpretenious, flawed Scripture readings and thoughts. • 1st Peter Read & Write Along

Life has been hard. Beyond hard. To this depression-prone mama that means diving even deeper into God’s word. If you’re anything like me, it isn’t necessarily the isolation that eats at you but the total lack of control and predictability. Don’t get me wrong… I love spontaneity… as long as it happens when I’m expecting it. 😉 So, to combat the blues and mean reds… I’ve been taking a few minutes every day to write out the Word of God. My goal is to walk with you through the book of 1st Peter. Why 1st Peter? It’s short! And direct! And feels attainable. I’d love for you to join me…

  • Help to Be Still

Panic! Fear! Urgency is the state we’re all living in during this trying time. Telling people to stay calm does little more than display how crazed we all feel. If you’re like me you need help relearning how to be still… And Know He is God. When life gets crazier and crazier and this mama can no longer think I get help from the list below… maybe something I use may help you. Christian Meditation Podcast This is a podcast that does just what it says: it guides listeners through mediation sessions focusing on God’s word. For 15 to 25 minutes I can sit, breathe, and inhale the peace God…

  • Feeling the Frump?

Hello sweet mamas and friends. Below is my first video in quite a while. I’m praying I’ll stay healthy enough to get back on a roll with my FB lives and YouTube videos. In the meantime, hit play and let’s examine the main reason we feel frumpy. It would make my day if you liked, commented, and subscribed to my YouTube channel as well as my blog. Let’s build this Late Night Coffee Mom family and continue to encourage and uplift one another. Thanks for stopping by,

  • Put Your Clothes On

What do you wear, Mama, when you’re leading your homeschoolers through their day? What do you make your students wear? Are you a down to lace-up shoes kind of family? Or are you happy as long as everyone is wearing pants? Whichever it is… you’re welcome here. Let’s toss the clothes in the laundry hamper and put on what really matters. Dive into Colossians with me.

  • Return to Your 1st Love

Mom life can be all-encompassing. Toss in a hearty dose of homeschool and it’s a whirlwind of crazy. It’s easy to lose your focus or hyper-focus on one area and neglect others. Beware and be careful. Do not lose sight of your first love. The love of your life and the lover of your soul- Jesus. Too late, you say? Repent and return. Start over. Love Him like you did the first time you let Him in. Crack open Revelation with me. I’m cheering you on,

  • Joy Joy Joy Joy

Where? Down in my heart… Sorry, couldn’t resist. It’s VBS time at my house and this song was a staple of my youth time VBSes. It also fits this week’s verse. No greater joy … than hearing my children are walking in the truth. What gives you joy? What does this verse mean to you? (3 John 1:4) Let me know how I should shoot my curriculum choices video series? By subject? By grade? Or both…

  • Patience in Trials

Waiting Bites! Especially during seasons of trials and hardship. Patience is the last thing I want to pray for when fighting through a battle. How about you? Dive into the 2nd part of Romans 12:12. BTW- I did not intend to shoot this video sideways. And immediately after shooting I walked into the kitchen to find my husband wading in the water gushing from our suddenly dysfunctional sink drain.
