Reading with Your Mom

So you’re all grown up and growing with your girl. But learning happens for an entire lifetime. Don’t forget to read and grow with your own mother. Here are some books I’ve read with my Mom and some I’d like to read with her.

Love Comes Softly

In 9th grade I needed a book for a book report. I didn’t want just any book. This was the book my mother handed me. I loved it! It was romantic without being mushy and adventurous without being unreal. I still love this book and it still offers conversation starters for my mom and me.

Helen’s Babies

This heartwarming quick read demonstrates a mother’s heart and vision for her children are often filtered through lenses of Mother Love. Join Uncle as he deals with these ordinary boys doing ordinary things and nearly ruining his life. My mom and I enjoy this book on Librivox.org.

Where are the Children

This was the first mystery handed to me by my mother. I ate it up and went back for more suggestions. Filled with suspense Where are the Children keeps you flipping pages until the very end.

Redeeming Love

Can Angel escape the bitterness of her past and finally embrace the lover of her soul? Or will she succumb to the comfort of her horrible normal and deny herself the chance of a true future? Find out in the historical fiction and God honoring book Redeeming Love. I enjoyed this on audio through Audible. It breaks your heart only to rebuild it stronger than before. Love it!
