4 Weeks on BLE

Have you ever started a new diet/ meal plan and known you were going to give it everything you’ve got- only to have your imaginary naysayer gripe that you won’t make a week? #everydietI’veevertried… But not this time! I’m four weeks in and counting!! Let me share the nitty-gritty of my last 28 days, and maybe you’ll be inspired to give BLE a try. 😉

It’s HARD!

The end. You can stop reading!— just kidding, there’s more!

It’s worth it!

Yes, at times, the little sugar addict in me kicks and whines for a liver of something sweet. Surprisingly it’s been begging for sweet tea and boba instead of cinnamon rolls and toaster pastries. But it’s not too hard to shut down.

Prayer is a major help!

Duh! Right?

Prayer has gotten me through every sugar crisis so far. But it’s not in the form of instant gratification and superhuman sanity. Nope! It’s more like just enough distraction to get my mind onto something other than food. Picture gratitude lists, old hymns, and nudgings to move, and you’ll have things about right.

The Brain Space is remarkable!

After nine days of no sweeteners and no flours, I feel like my gray cells have come to life! I can sit and focus. Anxiety attacks are easier to fend off. Writing a scene instead of scrolling Instagram remains the main goal of my Pomodoro rounds. PLUS, my rounds have lengthed from 10 minutes of work with a 3-minute break to 30 minutes with a 10-minute break. That’s how much the food plan had helped me regain my mind.

Meals are Easy

Seriously! I am NOT a good cook. I think I’ve mentioned this before. But BLE meals are simple- Protein- Veggies- Salad- Fat… Think Chicken, roasted broccoli, a big bowl of salad, with dressing. EASY! Plannable and adaptable for my family. AKA- mashed pots or rice on the side and BINGO dinner for everyone.

If you’re considering giving BLE a try- i recommend signing on for the 14-day challenge. If you can make it 14 days, I doubt you’ll ever want to stop.

Let me know what meal plans/ diets have worked for you. Also, what would be harder for you to give up sweeteners or flours?

But here’s what you really want to know:

YES! I’ve lost weight! No, you can’t really tell by looking at me. But I’m down 12 pounds and weight less than I’ve weighed in the last 5 years. (Sure, it’s only by 0.8, but I’m counting it as a win)

Until next time- I’m cheering you on!

What do you think?
