Stony Hearts made Squishy
Sometimes this Mama can find herself being way too harsh on her kiddos. Her expectations do not match reality and everyone sees it but her. This is where I lean into the Lord and ask Him to take away the heaviness and replace it with tenderness. Do you ever find yourself judging those you love harsher than you do everyone else? Share how you deal with in the comments. I’m cheering you on!

Whatever!
I hate that word. It screams of apathetic wastefulness. The opposite of how we’re called, by God, to act. Join me in the Word and let’s talk about God’s thoughts on whatever. Please consider subscribing to this blog and my youtube channel. 🙂

Easter Books to Recenter Your Family
Easter: It’s not just bunnies and chocolate, noodle salad, and colored eggs. It’s betrayal and denial. Blood and spit. Desperation and Hope. Easter is death overcome by Life. In my house, we love to celebrate the fun and family the holiday offers. But most importantly we take purposful pause to redirect and remember what Easter is all about… True Love… Rescue… Jesus. Here are a few books we love to read together around Easter time. We know you and your children will enjoy them, as well. For the Littles: We love JellyTelly and What’s in the Bible with Buck Denver. This little book sums up Easter in their charming puppety…

Your Church doesn’t Support Homeschooling?
It’s wild! Your family thinks you’re nuts. But you know, in your core, you’ve been called to home educate your kids. Your conviction is deep. This is what God is leading your family to do. Even, your husband knows it. And you’ve told your family. They might not be pleased. But at least you’ll be able to get the support you need at church. Until… you don’t! Shock. Confusion. Tiny twinges of frustration and disappointment ripple through you. You’re doing what you believe is right. Your choice to obey God’s call to homeschool comes with its share of sacrifices. But you never thought, alienation from your church family would be…

He Holds Us: SOS
My all time favorite Bible verse isn’t profound or deep. It doesn’t even hold the name of Jesus in it. It’s simple, tangible, and overwhelmingly loving… much like Grace and the Gospel. Snag your coffee and your Bible and hang out with me in Song of Solomon… aka Song of Songs… aka the naughty book of the Bible. Press play.
