The Beginning of the End of Paranormal Penny

Five-plus years ago, I introduced a teenage girl named Penny Nicols—an ordinary girl with a very un-ordinary problem.

Penny sees omens.

Most of them are unsettling. Some are terrifying. And one—the raven—means murder.

What began as a single story slowly became a long-running cozy paranormal mystery series, one that has followed Penny through near-misses, small-town secrets, dark discoveries, and choices that no teenager should have to make. Along the way, this series has grown right alongside me as a writer.

And now… I’m finally standing at the beginning of the end.

Closing the Circle on a Long Journey

This year marks my intentional focus on finishing the core Paranormal Penny Mystery series. Not rushing it. Not dragging it out. But giving Penny the ending she deserves—one that honors her growth, the mysteries she’s faced, and the readers who have walked with her through every omen and warning.

That means clearing my creative slate, tying up long-running threads, and returning fully to Penny’s world with clarity and purpose. Some stories are meant to be written quickly. Others need time, patience, and trust. Penny has always been the latter.

Why This Series Matters So Much to Me

Paranormal Penny has never been just about murder mysteries or supernatural signs. At its heart, this series is about responsibility, courage, and the weight of knowing too much too soon. Penny doesn’t get to ignore what she sees—and neither do we.

Finishing this series feels a lot like closing a chapter of my own life as a writer. It’s bittersweet, meaningful, and deeply personal.

Read — or Listen — Along the Way

If you’re new to Penny, or if you’ve been meaning to catch up, now is the perfect time to start (or restart) the series. The books are available in ebook and paperback, and many of the audiobooks can be found on YouTube as well as Audible, narrated with cozy mystery readers in mind.

Listening to Penny’s story unfold has been especially meaningful for readers who prefer to experience mysteries while driving, crafting, or winding down at night.

Thank You for Walking This Road With Me

Whether you’ve been here since book one or you’re just discovering Penny now, thank you. Your support, messages, reviews, and quiet encouragement have mattered more than you know.

The omens are still coming.
The raven hasn’t had its final say.
And Penny’s story isn’t over yet.

But the end is finally in sight—and I can’t wait to finish it with you.
